Liminal Landscapes

Liminal Landscapes work explores the elusive boundary between the familiar and the surreal, capturing moments where nature’s inherent beauty is transformed into otherworldly visions. Through the use of infrared photography, these images unveil a world that exists just beyond our typical perception—a realm where the ordinary dissolves into abstraction, and the tangible blends with the ephemeral.

The series traverses different elements of the landscape—from the quiet, rolling dunes to the veiled mystery behind a waterfall, to a fleeting glimpse of water and land from a moving car. Each image is united by a sense of motion and transition, embodying the liminal space where time, place, and experience intersect. The intense, often startling color palette reimagines these natural settings, inviting the viewer to see them not as fixed locations but as fluid, ever-changing environments that challenge our understanding of reality.

In *Liminal Landscapes*, the viewer is encouraged to step into this in-between space, to question the solidity of the world around them, and to appreciate the transient beauty found within the momentary and the unseen. Each photograph serves as a meditation on the tension between permanence and impermanence, order and chaos, grounding and disorientation—ultimately reflecting the complexity and depth of the landscapes that surround us.
